2009 National Beef Cook-off Recipes

Mary Hawkes of Prescott, Ariz., brought home the “Best of Beef” $25,000 grand prize at the 28th Annual National Beef Cook-Off! Her recipe, Sonoma Steaks with Vegetables Bocconcini, wowed judges with simplistic style, featuring grilled beef top loin steaks, zucchini, yellow bell pepper and red grape tomatoes tossed with herb-marinated fresh mozzarella balls.
This year’s Cook-Off focused on “Sonoma Style”- fresh, flavorful ingredients paired with nutrient-rich beef cuts.
