Fall Cooking: Using the Slow-Cooker Overnight

Posted 11/5/2008 by Joanna, The Kitchn

“For those of us who own slow-cookers with no timer feature and also spend a long day away from home, having that simmering, homecooked meal ready to eat when we walk in the door is a little out of reach. Not a problem if you have a reasonably handy person around. Buy a timer switch (as for the swimming pool pump etc), plug that in the socket, set it for the time on, and plug the appliance into that. Should work a bomb!
