BALSAMIC REDUCTION SAUCE

  • Makes 1-1/4 cups.

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  2. 1/4 cup butter, at room temperature
  3. 4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  4. 1 cup ready-to-serve reduced sodium beef broth
  5. 1/4 teaspoon coarse grind black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BALSAMIC REDUCTION SAUCE

  1. Bring vinegar to a boil in a small saucepan.  Reduce heat; simmer over medium heat about 15 minutes or until reduced to 1/4 cup.  Mix butter and flour in small bowl until smooth.  Stir broth and pepper into vinegar.  Gradually whisk in butter mixture until sauce is smooth; bring to a boil.  Reduce heat; simmer 3 minutes, stirring constantly.  Serve immediately.
