Beef and Mushroom Burgers

Finely diced mushrooms are added into Ground Beef patties and grilled to juicy perfection. Top with your favorite cheese and you've just met your new favorite burger!

Ingredients & Cooking

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Ground Beef (93% or leaner)
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, finely diced
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/4 cup shredded Manchego cheese

Cooking:

  1. Combine ground beef, mushrooms, egg white, garlic, salt and pepper in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Lightly shape into four 1/2-inch thick patties.
  2. Place patties on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 8 to 10 minutes (over medium heat on preheated gas grill,  covered, 7 to 9 minutes) until instant-read thermometer inserted horizontally into center registers 160°F, turning occasionally.
  3. Cook's Tip: Cooking times are for fresh or thoroughly thawed ground beef. Color is not a reliable indicator of ground beef doneness.
  4. Place burgers on bun bottoms.  Top evenly with cheese. Close sandwich.
