Highlights:
- 70% of consumers are eating beef weekly and among those consuming alternate meat weekly, seeing a greater propensity to eat beef every week.
- Consistent with other online metrics, consumers are showing modest declines in online meal ordering and among those ordering online meals weekly and monthly, showing declines of 3% points from 2022 to 2023.
- As consumers are thinking about their pocketbooks in 2023, spending less on dining out, apparel, entertainment, and leisure while spending more on groceries, gas, and rent.
- 65% of consumers plan to maintain their level of consumption of beef while 14% plan to eat more - drivers include taste, adding protein, quick/easy, and healthy diet.
